Ways to Give

As you make your decision on your pledge, please remember that your pledge payments are tax deductible, as provided by law. Because laws are always changing and each family is unique, Leavenworth Regional Catholic Schools encourages you to consult with your family and financial advisor(s) to determine which method is most beneficial to you.

There is great flexibility in how you can give to the For the Next 150 Years three-year campaign. Pledge payments can be made on a monthly, quarterly, annual and semi-annual basis. While the needs of our For the Next 150 Years capital campaign are urgent, we will gratefully accept gifts in the various forms, including those described here:

Pledges

Pledges are commitments made in good faith. You may want to consider stretching your pledge over three years to maximize the total amount of your support.

Cash

Gifts made by cash, check or credit card are the most common and will allow Leavenworth Regional Catholic Schools and Xavier Elementary to address its immediate needs.

Gifts-in-Kind

A gift-in-kind in a non-monetary item of tangible personal property, such as equipment, inventory and professional services that represent value to the Leavenworth Regional Catholic Schools.

Bequests

Bequests may be made through your will and may include a specific dollar amount or a percentage of your estate.

Life Insurance

You may donate to the campaign by making Leavenworth Regional Catholic Schools the owner and beneficiary of your insurance policy.

Securities

A gift of appreciated stock is the most advantageous form of giving. For example, if you donate stock purchased for $2,000 that you have owned 12 months or more, and the stock is now worth $10,000, your tax deduction will be for the full $10,000

and a tax savings of $3,100 (31% marginal bracket).  In addition, you have avoided the capital gains tax (combined 20% rate = $1,600) on the appreciation of the stock. Your total savings in this example is $4,700.
